DutchRobotics.net is a large and ambitious project in the rapidly expanding field of humanoid robots. Its goal is to compete and win in the RoboCup 2010 challenge in Singapore, and to bring the future of robotics to the attention of the general public.
The team consists of leading robotics research groups from the technical universities of Delft, Eindhoven and Twente. The team is backed by the 3TU federation, Philips, Sogeti and Maxon motor.
Previous robots built by team members have been covered by national and international media such as ABC, Science, Nature news, Discovery Channel, Volkskrant, NOS national news and SBS6. Earlier editions of RoboCup were covered by major TV, print and web media including CNN, Time Magazine, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. Dutch media that covered this event included Volkskrant, Trouw, Noorderlicht and SBS6.
